“Wherever there is any crisis, we can trust our country,” EAM Jaishankar said while addressing a seminar on the objectives and characteristics of India’s foreign policy organized by Gandhi Adayayan Pease Sabahagar.
Jaishankar said, “I am here at the end of nine years of the Modi government. The G20 meeting is being held in about 60 cities. Today’s meeting is the development ministers’ meeting,” he said.
Referring to India’s relief efforts, EAM said: “You will recall that Indians who were trapped in Ukraine were brought back. Residents of Sudan were also brought back through Operation Kaveri. Compatriots were brought back from Ukraine on Flight 90 Yes. There was an earthquake in Nepal, and then there was a storm in Burma.”

Jaishankar had breakfast at the residence of Dalit stall chairman Sujata Dhusia in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.
“Breakfast is delicious. Starting today, we will have G20 event in Varanasi; food security, grains, fertilizers and millet will be discussed,” EAM said after visiting Sujata’s residence.
Meanwhile, Arindam Bagchi, official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), tweeted on Sunday: “Historic city of Varanasi is ready to host the Development Ministers’ Meeting (DMM) under #G20India on June 11-13. “
The G20 Development Ministers Meeting, under which India holds the G20 presidency, is scheduled to be held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, from June 11-13. Foreign Minister Jaishankar Jaishankar will chair the meeting.
The meeting, which will be held as part of India’s G20 presidency, will also see a special video address from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ministry said in an official press release.
