Buyer receives digital and physical artwork of Idriss B and a month of owning and driving Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series
The world’s first series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for supercar ownership was launched in Dubai on Friday, with the first three NFTs sold within minutes.
Buyers who purchased the NFT received digital and physical artwork from NFT artist Idriss B, as well as a month of owning and driving a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
Organized by MContent, the company works with renowned artist Idriss B, whose well-known clients include Akon, Lindsey Lohan and Snoop Dogg. MContent is a web3 and cryptocurrency brand.
A total of 12 one-of-a-kind custom digital and physical artworks are created to give to NFT buyers, each reflecting a month of the year and minted for each owner.
This unique NFT has many utility, from owning, driving and experiencing the car for a month per year, to owning a unique 3D NFT model of the car and an actual physical miniature model of the car with unique elements based on the number of NFTs.
In addition to shared ownership, in a few years MContent will resell the car and redistribute the value directly to its NFT holders. MContent also announced that as part of its CSR framework, a fixed amount of proceeds from NFT sales will be donated to the Rashid Center for People of Determination.
The launch also featured digital tutorials from popular automotive influencers Super Car Blondie and Arab GT. It also includes a showcase of a game-changing collection of NFTs called “Project Black.”
Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series shares ownership with 12 NFT buyers. This sports car is a unique masterpiece of German engineering, including over 700 horsepower and a hand-built engine. According to car enthusiasts, the model is in huge demand in the industry.
Project Black was held at the world’s first AMG Kaffeehaus in Al Wasl DUBIA, the listing of NFTs on Opensea.io (https://opensea.io/MContent) was announced in real time, and the first three NFTs had received their live announcement ceremony on the first bid.
The initial base value of each NFT is set at around 25 ETH or the equivalent of $80,000, and the high seas bidding lasts a total of 12 days.
