Residents of Abu Dhabi can brace themselves for even more shopping options as two new projects are underway and will open soon to cater for all their retail needs.
RIM Mall
While no specific date has been announced, Reem Mall is expected to open to the public soon.
The $1.2 billion (AED4.4 billion) mega-project is located on Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island, right in the heart of New Abu Dhabi.
The mall includes more than 400 stores, approximately 85 restaurants and cafes, and an array of family-focused entertainment, including the Vox Theater, which covers 2 million square feet of retail space.
The world’s first mall with a state-of-the-art local logistics center offering store-to-door service with 24-hour delivery and 72-hour GCC delivery anywhere in the UAE.
Reem Mall will also house Sharaf DG electronics and gadgets store, the largest car park with 6,800 parking spaces and a Carrefour hypermarket.

Reem Mall will also house one of the largest snow parks in the region – Snow Abu Dhabi. One of the largest indoor snow parks in the world, it spans over 10,000 square feet and features 12 exciting rides and 17 exciting new attractions.With outside temperatures above 40°C, temperatures will remain minus 2°C and snow depths of 500mm will ensure visitors of all ages can enjoy its superb attractions and dining options
Capital Plaza – China Center
Capital Mall – China Center will officially open to the public on Monday, March 13th. The new mall is located at Capital Mall in Mohamed bin Zayed City (MBZ City), Abu Dhabi. Besides shopping, it also offers dining and entertainment venues.
Items from over 400 companies and different industries will be offered. The mall will have 600 stores offering premium brands from Chinese manufacturers.
