Wynn’s Design and Development Subsidiary Appoints Macau Executive Derek Sands as Vice President of Upcoming UAE Projects

Gaming and hospitality giant Wynn ResortWynn Design & Development, a subsidiary of Wynn Design & Development, has appointed Executive Vice President for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This marks one of the Las Vegas heavyweight’s first roles at the Emirateswhich will open a multi-billion-dollar integrated resort development on the man-made Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah.

Sands’ appointment to the division comes as Wynn prepares for its major UAE projectthe current scope includes a hotel with more than 1,000 rooms, a high-end shopping mall, state-of-the-art conference facilities, a spa, more than 10 restaurants and lounges, multiple entertainment options, gaming areas and other amenities.
