Zelensky meets heads of UAE, Oman and Kuwaiti delegations in Saudi Arabia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the heads of delegations of the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait after arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Arab League summit.

detail: During his talks with UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Zelensky briefed him on the situation on the Ukrainian front and the country’s resistance to the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation Case.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the peace program for Ukraine and the possibility of involving as many countries as possible in the process, including the UAE.

Zelenskyy and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan discuss global food security and the work of the Black Sea Food Initiative.

The two sides reached an agreement on the work of the delegation and discussed the development of economic, trade and investment cooperation.

 

Zelensky also mentioned the implementation of the Ukraine peace program when meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation of the Sultanate of Oman and Special Representative of the Sudan International Forum Assad bin Tariq Al-Sayed.

The president emphasized the importance of countries in the region supporting Ukraine’s peace efforts.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation and possible further contacts between Ukraine and Oman.

 

During a meeting with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Mishal Ahmed al-Jabir al-Sabah, Zelensky thanked Kuwait for its consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine. It shall be confirmed when the relevant resolutions of the General Assembly are voted on.

Zelensky pointed to the possibility of cooperation between Ukraine and Kuwait on some humanitarian issues. The President thanked Kuwait for supporting Ukraine in the energy field. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in these fields.

 

While in Jeddah, Zelensky also held talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shiite Sultan.

Zelensky thanked Iraq for its solidarity with Ukraine and its people, and for its unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the inviolability of its borders, and international law.

Zelensky said he was particularly grateful for Iraq’s support for Ukraine in international institutions, including the UN General Assembly.

The two leaders discussed the possibility of Iraqi participation in implementing a peace package for Ukraine.

Zelensky invited the Iraqi prime minister to visit Ukraine to discuss key avenues for cooperation between the two countries.

Reporters reported that Zelensky will next travel to Hiroshima, Japan, to Participate in the G7 summit in person. However, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine stated that Zelensky to attend G7 leaders meeting online rather than in person.
