76th Annual Tony Awards: A Preview

The Tony Awards are an event that recognizes excellence in live Broadway theater. It is organized by the Broadway League and the American Theater League. The event is expected to attract big names and famous fashion moments. Ariana DeBose has been announced as the host of the ceremony. She will join a panel of 19 others who have hosted the Tonys more than once in its 76-year history.

There are 26 different nominations. Nominations were judged by an impartial panel of 40 theater experts appointed by the Tony Awards Management Committee.

Best Actress nominees include Jessica Chastain, Jodie Comer, Jessica Hecht and Audra McDonald. Wendell Pierce, Yahya Abdul-Mateen 2nd, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sean Hayes and Corey Hawkins are all up for Best Actor.
