WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington Wizards will hold auditions for their entertainment team at Trinity Washington University on July 15th and July 16th.
Audition weekend will kick off on July 15th at 8:30am with the Wiz Kids Dance Team. Auditions are open to boys and girls ages 6-14. Dance experience is strongly recommended, but not required.
The Wiz Kids audition will be at 1:30pm for the Wizdom Dance Team audition, which will also take place on July 15th. Energetic and “experienced” dancers over the age of 50 on the 2023-24 Wizdom Dance Team are encouraged to participate. Auditions are open to both female and male dancers.
The final entry of the audition weekend is the Wizards Dancer Audition on July 16th at 1:00 pm. The Wizards are drafting dynamic, versatile male and female dancers for the 2023-24 Wizards Dancers corps.
The open call audition will consist of two rounds of choreography and freestyle. The ideal candidate must be proficient in a variety of dance genres including, but not limited to, hip-hop, jazz/funk, industrial, and pom. Those who are good at acrobatics, kicking, break dancing and other training are also welcome to audition.
