UK’s Child-Killer Nurse: Unveiling Lucy Letby

UK Nurse Lucy Letby Receives Life Sentence for Murdering Babies British nurse Lucy Letby has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release for killing seven babies and attempting to murder six others at the hospital where she worked in northwest England.

Letby, 33, began her career in the neonatal unit of the Countess of Chester Hospital after completing her nursing degree at Chester University.

Over an 18-month period, a concerning number of babies died or experienced serious collapses at the hospital’s neonatal unit, leading investigators to focus on Letby as a common factor.

Letby was arrested multiple times and charged with killing seven babies and attempting to kill 10 others between June 2015 and July 2016. Prosecutors detailed that Letby poisoned, injected air, or administered excessive milk to the infants.

The victims included twins and triplets, and the attacks often occurred during her night shifts. She denied wrongdoing, blaming the hospital and doctors, but was convicted of seven murders and seven attempted killings.

The motive behind Letby’s actions remains unclear. Detectives described her as having a seemingly ordinary life. Police are reviewing her career prior to the charges to determine if there are additional victims in the hospitals where she worked, covering more than 4,000 admissions from 2012 to 2016.
