Siddiqui, Denmark, is reporting on a mission in the Spinboldak area of ​​Kandahar.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning Indian photojournalist Siddiqui of Denmark was killed in Afghanistan while reporting on the fighting between the Afghan army and the Taliban.

The Afghan ambassador to India, Farid Mamundzay, said on Twitter on Friday: “The tragic news of the killing of a friend of Denmark Sedic in Kandahar last night (Thursday) was deeply disturbed. This An Indian journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner is closely related to the Afghan security forces.”.

“Two weeks ago, I met him before he went to Kabul. I would like to express my condolences to his family and Reuters,” Mamundzay said.

Tolo News quoted sources as saying that Siddiqui, who was in his early 40s, was killed in clashes in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar.

The Indian journalist has been covering the situation in Kandahar for the past few days.

Siddiqui is based in Mumbai. He won the Pulitzer Prize as part of the photography staff of Reuters News Agency.

Denmark graduated from Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi with a degree in economics. He received a degree in mass communication from Jamia’s AJK Mass Communication Research Center in 2007.

He started his career as a TV news reporter, then turned to photojournalism, and joined Reuters as an intern in 2010.

This is because the Taliban occupied the Spin Boldak district in Kandahar this week. In the past few days, Kandahar, especially Spinboldak, has been fighting fiercely.
