UAE Announces Lower Petrol and Diesel Prices for July 2026

According to the news published by the UAE’s Fuel Price Monitoring Committee, there is an approval of a decrease in petrol and diesel prices that applies to the month of July 2026, following four consecutive price increases in petrol and diesel. From 1st July onwards, the prices of Super 98 petrol will reduce from Dh3.95 in June to Dh3.40 per litre and that of Special 95 petrol will reduce to Dh3.29 from Dh3.83 in June.

E-Plus 91 and diesel also experience significant price reductions, but diesel experiences the most percentage reduction in comparison to other fuels. Diesel and E-Plus 91 are currently sold at AED3.60 and AED3.21 per litre respectively.

This change is due to the rising retail fuel prices in the UAE, which increased by more than 60% since the beginning of the Middle East conflict on 28th February due to the insecurity in the region associated with the ongoing war. Decrease in global oil prices until June has made people expect a price reduction which finally happens. However, the UAE formally quit both OPEC and OPEC+ on May 1, 2026, marking the end of its sixty-year tenure, a step that may enable it to boost its oil production in the coming months.
