UAE Corporate Tax Reminder: FTA Urges Small Businesses to File Tax Returns

UAE Corporate Tax Reminder Issued for Eligible Small Businesses

The UAE corporate tax reminder has been issued by the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), urging eligible small businesses to submit their corporate tax returns on time, even if they qualify for Small Business Relief.

The FTA said businesses that meet the conditions for the relief programme are still required to file a corporate tax return within the prescribed deadline. Qualifying for Small Business Relief does not remove the obligation to complete the filing process.

The reminder comes as more companies prepare their corporate tax submissions for the current tax period. Authorities encouraged businesses to review their eligibility, maintain accurate financial records and ensure all required information is submitted through the EmaraTax platform before the deadline.

Small Business Relief is available to eligible taxable persons that meet the revenue threshold set under the UAE Corporate Tax Law.

The measure aims to reduce the compliance burden on smaller businesses while supporting entrepreneurship and economic growth. However, businesses must continue to meet all filing and record-keeping requirements to remain compliant.

The FTA warned that failing to submit a corporate tax return on time could result in administrative penalties, even if no corporate tax is payable. Businesses are therefore encouraged to plan ahead and complete their filings well before the deadline.

The latest reminder reflects the UAE’s continued focus on strengthening tax compliance while making the corporate tax system clear and accessible for businesses operating across the country.
