Cloud seeding happened again…
With sunshine and blue sky almost all year round, it is sometimes easy to forget that the weather in the UAE is any different. However, during the first weekend of November, many parts of the UAE experienced heavy rainfall due to the effects of cloud sowing.
Although the rain did not affect Dubai or Abu Dhabi, it poured heavy rains in Sharjah, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. The latter even suffered hail in the Asima area. The National Meteorological Center (NCM) has released a large number of videos about the occurrence of heavy rains and flash floods.
Clouds and rainfall are expected in the northern, eastern regions and islands of the UAE next week.
