Hero Indian Premier League (ISL) champion Mumbai City Football Club is pleased to announce the establishment of a new global partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai in the 2021-22 season.
This cooperation will make the first World Expo held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region a major partner for the islanders. As part of the partnership, the 2020 Dubai World Expo will appear in front of the defending ISLChampions’ jersey in the Indian Super League and AFC Champions League domestic and mainland games in the 2021-22 season.
Expo 2020 Dubai will be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. It will be a global experience not to be missed, bringing people and communities together. With the theme of “Connecting Thoughts and Creating the Future”, the Expo will host 191 countries and millions of people from all over the world to stimulate action and provide real-life solutions to real-life challenges.
Through this partnership, the City of Mumbai will be able to use knowledge from world-leading initiatives to expand its values of innovation, sustainability and social change through football. Reflecting the global nature of Expo 2020 and its participants, as well as the diverse and multicultural population of the UAE, this connection will be combined in the Expo and local events in Mumbai, and a series of events will be held all over the world.
