UAE National Day: Sharjah announces full list of events and celebrations – News

Celebrations across the emirate will include parades, performances celebrating the country’s achievements and heritage

The Sharjah National Day Celebration Committee on Wednesday announced plans for events to celebrate the UAE’s 51st National Day.

The event will take place in Sharjah’s city and major tourist and cultural destinations from 24 November to 3 December, revealing the country’s achievements, history and heritage throughout the month.

Sharjah will be hosting events at various locations from 24th November to 3rd December. Celebrations will be held at Flag Island, Al Majaz Amphitheatre, Sharjah National Park, Maliha Park, Al Hisn Island and Dibba Al Hisn, Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, Al Kharous in Wadi, various areas of Al Helo and Kalba, Al Bataeh’s Parks and residential areas, various areas of Al Madam, Al Dhaid Fort and the heritage village of Al Hamriyah.

Sharjah National Park Opening Ceremony

The celebrations included a musical performance titled “The Sultan of Consecration”, which recounted the achievements of His Highness Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council of Sharjah and Ruler, reflecting the city’s achievements under his rule , cultural and environmental development.There will also be a show called “New Age”, among other things

Music Night – Al Majaz Amphitheatre and Khorfakkan Amphitheatre

The Al Majaz Amphitheatre will host Balqees and Latifa on November 26th, while the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre will host Eida Al Menhali and Diana Haddad on December 3rd. Proceeds from these musical evenings will go to “The Big Heart Foundation” to support disadvantaged children and families in need around the world.

Alzad

The Al Dhaid City festivities take place at Al Dhaid Fort from Thursday to Saturday (1-3 December). The morning event on the first day runs from 8 am to 11 am, while the evening event lasts for three days from 4 pm to 10 pm. Al Dhaid’s festivities include national parades, camel racing, traditional performances and other cultural events.

Bate

Al Bataeh will be celebrated in parks and residential areas from 28 to 30 November, including a popular parade attended by government ministries and agencies, Al Bataeh residents, schools, Sharjah Scout Council and military bands, civic groups, horses Shows, classic cars and tour buses.

Mleha

On November 24th, Mleiha Park will host a national parade led by military bands, marching bands, competitions and various games, prizes and raffles. Several sections will be carried out with the participation of educational institutions.

Kalba and Wadi Al Helo

Kalba will be celebrating on November 27th from 8am to 8pm. Wadi Al Helo’s festivities will take place on 30 November, including a national parade, musical performances by Kalba, operetta and Al Fursan air show, as well as sporting events and competitions sponsored by the Sharjah Sea Sports Club. Kalba Corniche will also host various performances and events on November 28th.

The Wadi Al Helo celebration will be held at the Heritage Village from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the presence of Wali of Wadi Al Helo. The ceremony will include school performances in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Information, and a segment entitled “Between the Past and Present” in collaboration with the Department of Drama, in addition to performances by folk groups (Yowlah), coordination of folk dances with schools, and Distribution of gifts and prizes.

KhorFakkan – Music evenings and other events

Architectural splendor meets history at the KhorFakkan Amphitheatre, with a musical evening hosted by Eida Al Menhali and Diana Haddad on December 3rd. Celebrations at KhorFakkan will also include a national operetta as well as poetic and artistic performances. Bands from Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will take part in the celebrations in the UAE, showcasing the strong ties between the people of the Gulf countries. Diba Al Sheen

Dibba Al-Hisn will hold its National Day celebrations on November 25, including a popular parade from Dibba Al-Hisn city entrance to Al-Hisn Island Canal at 4pm. The festivities will include folk songs, operettas, folk songs and dances and competitions until 9pm. On November 26, in addition to the November 26 competition, Al Kharous Park will host a popular parade featuring folk songs, dances, operetta and local household products.

Hamliya

On December 1, there will be special celebrations on the banks of the Hamliya River and in the Hamliya Folk Village, including the national anthem of Al Qalaa elementary and secondary education school students, traditional songs by civic groups and a ’51st National Day Celebration’ video demo.

This will be followed by the Hamria Sports and Culture Club national competition, children’s competitions, heritage exhibitions, local household products in collaboration with the people of the Hamria region, a Bedouin environmental exhibition, and a classic car in collaboration with the state exhibition.
