Here’s how some local churches and faith-based organizations are celebrating this holiday weekend.
First Presbyterian will be held harvest festival today.
There will be decorated cars for “trunk or treat”, lots of candy, carnival games, a live DJ from 88.3 Life FM, photo booths, food vendors, bounce houses and more.
The event is free to the public and vendors sell food.
Celebrations will be held at the church at 1795 17th Street from 5:00-7:30pm.
Trinity Anglican will be held trunk or treat The church is located at 11300 Campus Park Drive from 4-7pm today.
Fraternity Bakersfield Community Church to be held trunk or treat on Monday.
Bring the kids to the church parking lot, 327 A St., 6-8 p.m. for a fun night of sweets.
Canyon Mountain God Conference invites community to its annual Harvest Carnival on Monday.
For decades, Canyon Hills’ Mardi Gras has provided a fun, family-friendly alternative to trick-or-treating.
Kids of all ages can enjoy free carnival games plus Bounce House, free train rides, rock walls and laser tag.
Look forward to special guests and musical performances by longtime Bakersfield musician Tommy Hayes and his band.
Food will be available for purchase and benefit various ministries in Canyon Hill. Local food trucks will also be on-site ready to serve guests their unique dishes. Children 12 and under will receive free hot dogs, fries and drinks.
The festival is held at 7001 Auburn Street on the east end of campus from 5 pm to 8 pm.
