CBSE Class 12 Results 2026 Announced: UAE Students Celebrate After Exam Disruptions
The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the Class 12 board examination results for 2026, bringing relief and excitement to thousands of Indian curriculum students across the UAE. Students from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other emirates rushed online on Wednesday to check their marks after weeks of anticipation surrounding the much awaited results.
The result declaration comes after an unusual academic year marked by disruptions across the Gulf region. Earlier this year, CBSE had cancelled several Class 12 board examinations for students in Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE, due to regional tensions linked to the US Israel Iran conflict. Schools were temporarily shifted to remote learning while the board later introduced alternative assessment methods to ensure students could complete the academic year without major delays.
Soon after the announcement, students began accessing their scores through official CBSE portals, DigiLocker and the UMANG app. Many schools in the UAE reported a surge in online traffic as students and parents logged in simultaneously to download provisional mark sheets. Schools are expected to issue original certificates and official documents in the coming weeks.
Across the UAE, celebrations broke out in homes and school communities as students shared their results with classmates, teachers and family members. Several schools reported strong performances from students despite the academic uncertainty caused by exam cancellations and schedule disruptions earlier in the year.
According to reports, the overall CBSE Class 12 pass percentage for 2026 stands at 85.20 percent. More than 94,000 students scored above 90 percent, while over 17,000 students crossed the 95 percent mark nationwide, reflecting a strong academic performance despite the challenging circumstances. Girls once again outperformed boys in the national results.
Education experts in the UAE noted that this year’s results were particularly significant because many students had faced uncertainty over university admissions and scholarship applications after examinations were cancelled in parts of the Gulf. Schools and parents had earlier expressed concerns about whether alternative assessments would affect college placements and international admissions. However, universities are expected to accept CBSE’s final assessment framework and provisional digital marksheets for admissions and documentation processes.
This year also marked the introduction of CBSE’s new On Screen Marking system for Class 12 answer sheet evaluation. The digital assessment method was introduced to improve transparency, reduce human error and speed up the declaration of results. UAE school leaders had welcomed the move earlier this year, saying the technology driven evaluation system aligned well with the country’s emphasis on digital education reforms.
Students checking their results online have been advised to keep their roll numbers, school numbers and admit card details ready while downloading their provisional scorecards. In case official websites experience heavy traffic, CBSE has also provided alternative options including DigiLocker, SMS services and the UMANG platform for easier access.
With results now officially declared, attention is turning toward university admissions, entrance examinations and future academic plans for thousands of UAE based Indian students. Schools are also expected to begin counselling sessions to guide students through higher education applications and career decisions in the coming weeks.
