Chris Reid is said to be recovering after being attacked outside the Comedy Club in New York City last week.
The 37-year-old former “Saturday Night Live” star is believed to have been punched and kicked by a knuckle-worn assailant outside a Manhattan comedy wine cellar on Wednesday night (Oct. 26, 2022), two black Broken eyes and nose TMZ.com It is now reported that he is on the mend and is said to be feeling “very happy and lucky”.
Chris was heading to the club for a 15-minute match when a man approached him and punched him in the face before fleeing. The star was helped by staff who came to his aid and was later taken to hospital for his injuries.
TMZ reported that a chain from the comedian’s neck was snatched during the attack, but he later recovered the jewelry.
Police have been calling for help tracking down the perpetrators since the attack.
According to the New York Post, the attacker is said to be between the ages of 35 and 40, 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs about 280 pounds. They have released surveillance footage that appears to show the alleged attacker being caught on camera near the comedy venue.
The publication reported that police did not believe the attack was related to a street challenge called Knockout, which has been blamed for multiple attacks across the U.S. in which unwitting victims were killed by strangers on the street People beat at will.
