F1 pundit asks Lewis Hamilton fans to move on from 2021 Abu Dhabi GP mistakes

[ad_1]

The biggest controversy in F1’s recent history is the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In the closing minutes of the race, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was denied a second title win after then-race director Michael Massey made some questionable decisions.

The decision he made, Hamilton, was out of the public eye for months. It also prompted the FIA to sack Massi and reform their system.

Some F1 fans thought it was unfair to Hamilton, and his fans are still bitter about the night. Even more than a year after that night, it’s still talked about.

Lewis Hamilton fans should move on

F1 commentator David Croft admits Massey made a big mistake. However, he believes that when comparing the Premier League games between West Ham and Arsenal, there may well be mistakes. He advised Hamilton fans to move on from that now.

“My theories are always going to be wrong,” croft on the pit stop podcast“We don’t like it, but we have to accept it. I find Abu Dhabi very difficult, people don’t want to accept what has happened, it’s time to move on.”

He further urged that neither Jean Todt nor Red Bull push Massi to give Verstappen the title in 2021. He thinks Marcie is alone and responsible for the mistake.

2022 Going Nowhere, 2021 Competitive

Despite the questionable ending, the 2021 season is undoubtedly one of the most exciting in a long time. Almost a decade later, two different teams battled for the title until the final day of the season.

Taking it down generated all the enthusiasm from drivers and fans alike. However, the 2022 season will be the exact opposite. Despite strong starts to the season for Ferrari and Red Bull, the performances of the Italian team were quickly wiped out.

Red Bull, by contrast, corrected Ferrari’s blunder and soon found themselves far ahead in qualifying. The entire championship is over before F1 heads to Austin for the US Grand Prix.

Now, ahead of the 2023 season, Mercedes is expected to make a comeback, while Ferrari claims to beef up its engines. If true, it might not be so easy for Red Bull next year.
