Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, affirmed that Ajman’s business leaders are keen to develop a strong trading partnership with Pakistan for sustainable growth of the UAE economy.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmiz at the headquarters of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce on Saturday.
They discussed ways to cooperate economically, strengthen bilateral relations, and examine investment opportunities available in Pakistan’s industry, trade, tourism, and education sectors.
It was observed that the total trade between the UAE and Pakistan reached AED 19.7 billion in 2021, an increase of 23% compared to 2020, while Ajman’s trade with Pakistan has increased by 30% in the past five years.
Muwaiji praised the deep-rooted relationship between the UAE and Pakistan, and emphasized the importance of evaluating opportunities for cooperation and partnership between Ajman and Pakistan in many areas.
Tirmizi emphasized the need to exchange business missions to understand opportunities in various fields. He expressed hope that the economic potential and opportunities of Pakistan and Ajman will open up new horizons and help increase bilateral trade and joint cooperation, according to the Emirates News Agency.
