Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates—— The latest round of international awards from the Harvard Business Council (New York, USA) will conclude with 60 winners on November 10, 2022. Ministry of Health – Abu Dhabi was one of our most prolific nominees, submitting four awards.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Health, the regulatory body for the health care sector of the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, stands out for its professionalism, innovation, efficiency, attention to detail and ability to respond to emergencies.
On an individual level, HE Hind Mubarak Al Zaabi, Executive Director, Healthcare, Facilities Sector, was awarded the Women in Leadership Award at the Diamond level. She has been involved in several projects and initiatives that had a significant impact on improving organizational performance and achieving desired goals, such as the e-claims project, which shortened the hospital’s payment cycle.
Ministry of Health – Abu Dhabi achieved the Gold level of the project award through the implementation of the Abu Dhabi Quality Index – Muashir, a comprehensive quality monitoring framework created in collaboration with healthcare providers and other healthcare stakeholders. It is based on innovation, scientific method, integrity and agility.
The Innovation Awards category was also awarded Diamond status as the Abu Dhabi Department of Health is firmly planning and executing a comprehensive innovation strategy to effectively ensure the integration of innovation into its corporate and healthcare sector strategies. Since 2017, the organization has implemented several innovation models, including open innovation models and directed innovation, targeting specific healthcare challenges, needs and problems.
Another excellent result for the Dealing with Covid-19 Awards. Once again at Diamond level, showing quick response to emergencies. The Abu Dhabi Department of Health conducted a business continuity risk assessment across the emirate to identify key areas within the emirate to ensure that the right priorities can be set and efforts and resources allocated correctly. Additionally, a dedicated team has been established to manage and monitor the implementation of COVID-19 related control measures within the blue collar community.
Recognition by the Harvard Business Council of the Abu Dhabi Department of Health for its exemplary excellence and professionalism can inspire all who wish to achieve similar results in the category in which leading engineering organizations stand out.
