Benton’s Young Players Phase 2 Presents “Green Day’s American Idiot” Today through Saturday and January 12-14 at 7:30 pm and Sunday and January 15 at 2:30 pm at the Theater Royal, 111 N. Market St., Benton.
This electro-rock musical (composed by Green Day, with lyrics by Billie Joe Armstrong and written by Armstrong and Michael Meyer) features every song on Green Day’s Grammy-winning album, as well as its follow-up release, “21st Century A few songs in “Crash Down,” simultaneously follows three young men (Eli Butler, Luke Ferguson, Jack Clay) as they struggle to find meaning in a post-September 11 world.

Art: 100 portraits of Kilgore
an exhibition 100 Photographic Portraits of Andrew Kilgore Reception Friday at 5 p.m. at the Joy Pratt Markham Gallery at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, 495 W. Dickson St.
Kathy P. Thompson has curated the exhibition, which runs weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through March 19, and features more than 750,000 works from the Kilgore archive picture, covering his 53-year career. Public radio station KUAF-FM, 91.3, provided an audio component with information on some of the photos. The gallery is also open for an hour before and during intermission at the Walton Arts Center. Free admission.

audition: ACT “Cinderella”
Argenta Community Theater holds auditions Rogers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” January 21st 1-4pm and January 22nd 2-5pm at the ACT II Sharon Heflin Center for Performing Arts Education at the Theater, 315 Main Street, North Little Rock. Auditions are open to actors of all genders, races, and nationalities; all roles require some singing and movement. Auditors should prepare 16 bars of a song demonstrating their vocal range, from the show or with the same feel. Prepare sheet music for accompanists. The audition will also include a cold reading of the script and a dance/action call.
