Hyatt expands with 4 new hotels in Europe

Global hotel management company Hyatt has announced further brand expansion in Western Europe, including the UK debut of luxury brand Destination by Hyatt and the opening of Schloss Roxburghe.

The company also recently announced the opening of FirstName Bordeaux in France, the Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment in the British capital, and the upcoming Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort in Spain, due to open in mid-2023.

Hyatt announced the opening of Schloss Roxburghe, marking the UK debut of the Destination by Hyatt brand. The resort has recently undergone an extensive remodel, including the addition of a state-of-the-art spa, and offers a total of 78 rooms and suites as well as 12 classically designed two-bedroom Scottish cottages, 20 rooms and suites housed in the historic The Estate House Manor and 58 rooms.

Just a few miles from the scenic market town of Kelso and an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Newcastle, Schloss Roxburghe raises the bar for luxury for travelers seeking a tranquil Scottish countryside getaway. In line with the brand’s ambition to build a unique portfolio of luxury hotels that connect guests with people, cultures and places, the hotel capitalizes on the growing demand from travelers seeking an escape from the everyday.

As Hyatt’s luxury brands continue to expand across Europe, the opening of Schloss Roxburghe represents a major growth milestone for Hyatt’s Destination by Hyatt portfolio in Europe as it joins 7Pines Resort Ibiza and 7Pines Resort Sardinia.

Located in the heart of this historic port city, this lifestyle hotel is a true reflection of the surrounding area, encouraging guests to explore the local cuisine at their own pace. Housed in an iconic building close to the Garonne River, the hotel is a short walk from cultural and famous landmarks such as the Bordeaux Marina, the Water Mirror, the City of Wine and the Darwin Ecosystem.

FirstName Bordeaux embodies the JdV by Hyatt brand’s “joie de vivre” philosophy, inviting guests to mingle with locals, live in the moment, and celebrate the joie de vivre while relaxing in uniquely designed spaces. The hotel was designed by architect Nicolas Adnet of Studio MHNA, whose creative and personal approach inspired a unique interpretation of French elegance and local sophistication.

FirstName Bordeaux offers 147 rooms and suites that guests can choose from in seven different categories: Cocoon, Canopée, Carat, Collector Suites and FirstRoom. Designed for functionality and comfort, each guest room is beautifully decorated with murals by local artists, and features easy-to-use technology and intuitive décor.

The hotel’s Le Bada restaurant and bar highlights Bordeaux’s reputation as a world-renowned wine region and its highly regarded regional cuisine. A proponent of ‘local’ cuisine, Consultant Chef Cédric Bechade has designed a menu that passionately celebrates local produce and promotes freshness and zero waste. Delicious plates are paired with a wine list, showcasing the best vintages as well as a selection of Bordeaux’s emerging chateaux, providing guests with a refined atmosphere for gathering and networking.

Hyatt Regency London’s Albert Embankment also debuted in January this year, representing the eighth Hyatt-branded hotel in the British capital. Following a major renovation, the iconic 192-room resort will debut in Spain under the Grand Hyatt brand in mid-2023. Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort is located in a secluded location on the Mediterranean coast, in the heart of the famous La Manga Club enclave in Murcia, Spain, widely considered one of the most popular sports and leisure destinations in the south Europe. As part of an extensive renovation slated for completion in spring 2023, the hotel’s 192 guest rooms, including a 1,679-square-foot Royal Suite and six additional suites, will be redesigned to reflect the dynamism the Grand Hyatt brand is known for The design and bold architectural style are in order.
