Abu Dhabi is open for vaccinated travelers

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the newest national airline of the UAE, will continue to provide exciting travel opportunities for international travelers who wish to explore the UAE capital without isolation.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee has approved that from Sunday, September 5, 2021, it is no longer necessary to quarantine all vaccinated travelers arriving in Abu Dhabi from all international destinations.

Before boarding the plane for Abu Dhabi, all passengers must show a negative PCR test result within 48 hours before departure. All passengers must undergo a free PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Vaccinated citizens, residents and tourists arriving from green list destinations must undergo PCR testing again on the 6th day if they stay in the emirate. Starting from other destinations, if they stay in the emirate, they must take the PCR test on the 4th and 8th day.

Passengers who arrive in Abu Dhabi and immediately continue to travel to Dubai or other northern emirates are exempt from quarantine, provided that they notify medical institutions accordingly upon arrival and travel using official airport taxis.

Unvaccinated citizens, residents and tourists arriving in Abu Dhabi from the green list destinations, including those who are not vaccinated, must undergo further PCR tests on the 6th and 9th days without isolation. Citizens, residents and tourists from other destinations who have not been vaccinated must be quarantined for 10 days and undergo a PCR test again on the 9th day.
