ABU DHABI, 9th February, 2023 (WAM) — Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, will offer more capacity to the European market through two new Two new routes than hubs to Copenhagen in Denmark and Düsseldorf, Germany. The carrier will also provide additional services to Frankfurt.
The airline currently operates seven passenger and four cargo flights per week to Frankfurt. From 1 May 2023, Etihad Cargo will launch four new services, increasing the number of weekly sailings from 11 to 15.
From 1 October 2023, Etihad Cargo will provide cargo capacity from Denmark by introducing four weekly flights. The resumption of three weekly flights to Dusseldorf, as well as the airline’s wide-body passenger and cargo flights to Frankfurt and Munich, will provide additional German cargo capacity. These flights will be operated by a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Denmark Home to many large international pharmaceutical companies, the country has become a well-established biotechnology and pharmaceutical center in Europe.Through Etihad Cargo’s IATA CEIV pharmaceutical certification product PharmaLife, the carrier will provide reliable and robust delivery of packaged medicines in Denmark Shipping service to ship it to markets all over the world.

The 11 new flights, combined with the airline’s existing European services and increased frequencies due to launch in 2023, will bring the total number of flights to European destinations to 700 per month.
Etihad Cargo currently operates four dedicated cargo services from Abu Dhabi to Amsterdam, as well as two weekly cargo flights to Frankfurt, connecting with O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, USA. In addition, Etihad Cargo’s customers benefit from the cargo capabilities of Etihad’s extensive passenger network. The carrier also offers seamless connections to offline European destinations through its network of road feeder services.
