Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (Tadweer) has announced its participation as a sponsor for the 14th edition of the Al Dhafra Songkran Festival. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Al Dhafra, the festival will be held in the Al Dhafra district of Abu Dhabi from March 10th to 19th.
Tadweer’s participation in the Al Dhafra Songkran Festival, organized by Abu Dhabi Cultural Projects and Heritage Festivals Committee in partnership with Abu Dhabi Sea Sports Club, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to participate in major events in the emirate, which contributes to the preservation of the emirate’s culture and heritage, and Raise public awareness of proper waste management and pest control.
As part of its engagement as a strategic partner and sponsor, Tadweer will be working before, during and after the festival, providing litter collection and transport, pest control and animal control services at the event’s multiple locations to ensure a healthy visit environment for visitors, exhibitors and participants. In addition, the company will organize promotional activities and provide services according to the requirements of participating customers and camp owners.

Tadweer will host a pavilion during the festival where the company will welcome visitors, inform them about the company’s services and projects, answer their inquiries and raise awareness about inappropriate waste disposal. The company will also organize a series of promotional activities, including an interactive competition for festival attendees.
During the event, Tadweer will be equipped with a professional garbage collection and transportation team equipped with advanced tools and equipment, in addition to 35 containers distributed in various locations of the event.
The company will send a team of qualified experts to monitor stray animals such as cats, dogs and foxes in the area according to the best standards and guidelines approved by local and international animal welfare associations, taking into account the safety of the animals during the monitoring and confinement process . The center will set up cages for stray animals spread across several festival locations so that a professional team can monitor the animals quickly and efficiently without disturbing the public, as part of Tadweer’s commitment to delivering the highest standards of public health and safety across the emirate part.
