UAE: Residents prepare for Dubai Fitness Challenge 2021-News

[ad_1]

Dubai Crown Prince’s initiative inspires residents to invest in health

The 2021 Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is coming soon, and residents are ready to transform Dubai into the most active city in the world.

Fitness enthusiasts said that Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s initiative inspired them to invest in health.

The DFC will be held from October 29th to November 27th, hosting events throughout the emirate and encouraging residents and visitors to participate in 30-minute events within 30 days.

Sujith Koshy, a banker and fitness influencer who uses a wheelchair, said that he has been participating in the challenge since the challenge was launched in 2017.

“This initiative has prompted residents to pay attention to their overall well-being, and I believe it makes Dubai one of the healthiest cities in the world,” he said.

Some residents believe that this year’s fitness challenge will attract more participants than previous ones.

Lebanese expat and personal trainer Jennifer Chalouhi said that regular fitness is vital to physical and mental health.

“The pandemic has taught us the importance of physical health, and this year’s challenge may have more participants. Staying healthy can keep you energized throughout the day and help cope with depression and mood swings,” she said.

After the pandemic, residents who did not participate in the challenges of previous years are determined to put health first this year. Mansour Hashim is an Egyptian expatriate who started his fitness journey before the challenge.

“I want to prepare for the challenge. This move not only inspires us, but also teaches us the importance of having a strong immune system,” he said.

Koshy said he believes that anyone can use 30 minutes for fitness, but emphasizes that willpower should come from within.

“When we see others exercising, we get the motivation to exercise. This is the role of the initiative. I have heard from many people that even after the challenge, they continue to engage in daily life for 30 minutes or more ,”He said.
