Jaguar Land Rover has partnered with global engineering, product development and digital services company Tata Technologies to accelerate the digital transformation of its industrial strategy. The first phase will include the core UK production facility, followed by deployment of the solution to other locations around the world.
Tata Technologies will provide an end-to-end integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) that will transform Jaguar Land Rover’s manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, finance and procurement modules by bringing together data and knowledge from multiple departments into a single source.
Tata Technologies’ award-winning software’s intuitive new user interface will drive operational stability and improve visibility between teams and suppliers. The end result for companies will be the ability to be more agile and bring new vehicles to market faster.
ERP is the key
ERP is key to streamlining and integrating information across core business areas. Creating a dedicated home for cross-departmental data and management processes is fundamental to transforming the way a business operates. ERP systems are also capable of aggregating, storing, and interpreting data to provide instant insights, helping businesses respond to problems, challenges, and opportunities in an agile and timely manner.
The agreement further strengthens Jaguar Land Rover’s alliance with the Tata group of companies as part of its Reimagine strategy. With over 30 years of experience in product and digital engineering, Tata Technologies has a global network of 11,000 innovators and customers in 27 countries.
