Balochistan [Pakistan]March 17 (ANI): Sectarian and ethnic violence has become a daily occurrence in Pakistan and is on the rise as security forces seize arms and ammunition in the Chaman district of Balochistan province, Geo News reported.

During an intelligence-based operation in Chaman, Balochistan, security personnel recently discovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday.

The operation to find terrorist hideouts was carried out on Chaman Bogra Road with the aim of finding suspected terrorist hideouts.

According to Geo News, “in addition to the placement of improvised explosive devices in adjacent areas, recent fires involving law enforcement personnel and civilians in the Chamain area” were also attributed to terrorists.

Additionally, numerous improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other accessories were recovered from the area, underscoring the rise of terrorism in the region.

According to Geographic News, Balochistan has been under the control of ethnic, religious, militant and separatist violence supported by various groups, making the situation in the region very unpredictable.

The situation has been exacerbated by the rise of the illegal Taliban movement (TTP) across Pakistan. As the TTP rises, the number of terrorist attacks increases multiple times.

The TTP has killed some 83,000 people; most innocent since 2006, according to the International Forum on Rights and Security (IFFRAS), by driving them from their homes and preventing developments they objected to in order to preserve their Control.

In Pakistan, the ongoing political game involving the political class, the military, and the judiciary ignores public suffering on many fronts. On top of the dark pile lies the violence of the country’s largest and most violent militant group, TTP.

The TTP, an offshoot of Pakistan, is a close ally of the Taliban in Afghanistan and is listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States and the United Nations.

It has between 4,000 and 6,500 fighters in Afghanistan, according to United Nations estimates. It spread beyond the tribal lands and reached the cities of Pakistan.

Sectarian violence in Pakistan is a sign of growing extremism, as sectarianism is penetrating segments of society previously untouched by religious fundamentalism, Global Strat View reported. (Arnie)
