Expo 2020: Interpol and Europol will attend the World Police Summit in Dubai-News

High-profile global security event was held for the first time in the Middle East

The Dubai Police Headquarters announced that they will host the World Police Summit at the Dubai Exhibition Centre from March 13 to 16, 2022.

Major police organizations such as Interpol, Europol, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), as well as representatives of local, regional and international police forces and law enforcement agencies (including the UAE Ministry of Interior) will attend the summit.

The event will be sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, together with Expo 2020, in cooperation with dmg events and supported by the International Association of Chiefs police.

This summit is a high-profile global security event and the first such event to be held in the Middle East. This comprehensive conference and exhibition focuses on the future of policing, public safety and security, and will play an important role in the development of thought leadership, direction and strategy, and prepare police and law enforcement agencies to respond to emerging policing challenges.

It will also provide a platform for law enforcement agencies to collaborate and share ideas on the latest solutions needed to enhance public safety and security in the face of multiple emerging threats, including international criminal networks and cross-border cybercrime.

Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Almari, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, said: “This summit is an important opportunity for local, regional and international senior police and law enforcement officials to connect with governments and policy makers to discuss shaping key priorities. The future of policing. As the first such event in the region, it will strengthen the Dubai Police and the UAE’s leadership in innovative policing, crime prevention and security.”

IACP Chairman Cynthia Renaud said: “As the largest and most influential professional association of police leaders in the world, the International Association of Chiefs of Police is honored to be cooperating with the Dubai Police to host the World Police Summit. Our goal is to make the world a safer place. And to be protected, which is closely related to the World Police Summit, and we are honored to be able to support our colleagues in Dubai.”

The four-day World Police Summit will be attended by more than 200 speakers and will attract more than 2,000 delegates in six strategic conferences. The exhibition at the summit will have more than 250 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors, and will provide an unparalleled opportunity for police forces and law enforcement agencies to procure and acquire the advanced technologies, services and solutions needed to ensure a safer world.

The World Police Summit will also host a high-profile, invitation-only roundtable for the selected senior police leadership group, the results of which will be disseminated as a white paper and Dubai Police report.

In addition, the summit will be the venue for the UAE International Conference and Exhibition on Forensic Evidence and Criminology, as well as the annual International Protection Conference.

The Dubai Police Headquarters will organize a forum in cooperation with the United Nations to discuss the issue of drugs and drug addiction.

Dubai Police will also organize two other major events during the World Police Summit-Dubai Police Academy graduation ceremony and Global Tactical Team Challenge (UAE Special Police Challenge).
