Ben Affleck talks about ‘misunderstanding’ about his ‘unhappy face’

Often misunderstood as unhappy socially, Ben Affleck is finally trying to clear up fans’ biggest “misconception” about his “unhappy face.”

in his most recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! director and star Air (2023) spoke about his unhappy “misunderstandings” at social events like press conferences, award shows and even holiday parties.

Jennifer Lopez’s husband, who became a meme after a viral video of his rift with the singer’s wife at the 2023 Grammy Awards, has now officially debunked that he’s always at events Unhappy myth.

In the interview, Jimmy accused Ben of being so unhappy at the event, and even at his own holiday party in 2022.

“It does seem like you’re not as enthusiastic about partying as the others,” Jimmy said.

Ben was quick to respond to the allegations, “Look, this is a general misconception of me,” he said.

“I have a rested face that looks very unhappy,” Ben added before showing off his “contented” and “fun” face.

“This is how God made me,” Ben pleaded to himself. “You don’t have to punish me for this.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Ben admitted that he was absolutely aware of the virality of “Sad Affleck” on the Internet.

“I’ve been the subject of the occasional meme,” he said.
