Huntsville, Alabama – For anyone who likes to entertain, the Wallace State Alumni Association offers the perfect day trip for a day of music and more.
The Alumni Association will travel to Nashville on May 16th for a cruise along the Cumberland River aboard the General Jackson Showboat, which includes a three-course lunch and entertainment. The “Tennessee Legends” production shares Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain story with the music of some of Music City’s legendary Grand Ole Opry stars.The bus will depart Wallace State University at 7:15am and return around 6pm

On August 2, visitors to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery will have the opportunity to see a live production of the Broadway musical “Cabbaria.” Set in Berlin in 1931, “Cabbaria” tells the story of a young American writer named Cliff and his relationship with British cabaret actress Sally Bowles, who appeared in 1972 played by Liza Minnelli in the 1990s film.
