McLaren Dubai delivers first Artura in Middle East

McLaren Dubai, the official retail partner of McLaren Automotive, has announced the delivery of the first next-generation hypercar, the Artura, in the UAE.

Marking its debut on Middle Eastern roads, the hybrid supercar features a new design and architecture to deliver incredible performance.

Celebrating the occasion, Mazen Al Nashar, Managing Director of McLaren Dubai, said: “We are delighted to be delivering the Artura for the first time in the Middle East. We are now ready to meet the needs of our customers who have been patiently waiting for this extraordinary vehicle. The response has been overwhelming and we look forward to seeing Come to our customers to experience the power and innovative features of this new hybrid supercar.”

The supercar inherits all the attributes of a McLaren. With the signature McLaren cockpit and advanced driver focus, Artura offers unrivaled driving dynamics, lower emissions, quicker throttle response and the ability to operate in pure electric mode.

The Artura is a plug-in hybrid and ultra-light supercar that transitions between petrol and electric power seamlessly and programmed to get the best of both. When petrol and electricity are combined, the Artura produces a staggering 680 PS – the E-Motor can add up to 95 PS and 225 Nm of torque on demand.

“As demand for supercars and hybrid vehicles continues to accelerate, now is an opportune time for us to begin deliveries in the UAE. Governments in the region have played an important role in promoting electric vehicles and investing in infrastructure to enable customers to Choose the balance between efficiency and performance – that’s the kind of fusion that Artura offers,” added Al Nashar.

Built around the new, advanced McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA), the car is powered by a V6 twin-turbo hybrid petrol engine, eight-speed transmission and compact electric motor. It weighs 50kg less than a V8 engine and produces the highest PS/kg of any V6 engine on the market. The Artura has an electronically limited top speed of 330 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 8.3 seconds.

The first owner to pick up his car in the region was Emirati entrepreneur and car enthusiast Aliev Kiril, who received a stunning Volcano Yellow Artura. – TradeArabia News Service
