The UAE Public Prosecution has accepted or rejected the request at its sole discretion and after a thorough review, or amended the fine amount accordingly.
According to reports posted on its social media platforms, the Public Prosecution issued 7,285 punishment orders and took procedures to enforce 104,755 judicial decisions. It also noted that the total number of public prosecutions was 42,879 and the number of prosecution appeals was 8,970, while cassation prosecutions issued 1,689 legal opinions for appeals.
The report states that the case resolution rate ranges from 95% to 100%, while the conviction rate reaches 100%.
The public prosecution also noted that 176,185 electronic requests were processed and 13,519 remote investigations were conducted in 2022.
Its website and smart applications provide more than 50 services to meet customers’ needs in a timely and convenient manner.
