ABU DHABI, 24th April, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Department of Justice hosted a delegation from the French National Academy of Judiciary and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange experience, knowledge and expertise in the judicial field.
The visit, which took place within the framework of the cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Justice and the French Academy of Justice, was carried out in the presence of H.H. The ministry, under the direction of His Highness Ranahyan, strengthens ties and cooperation with the judiciary to ensure the development of a world-leading judicial system.
The visiting delegation heard about the competence of the Family Civil Court of the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Justice, the first civil personal status court in the region to offer a civil law regulating the personal status of foreigners, as it has introduced legislation promoting liberal principles such as respect for the individual. Liberty and equality of rights and duties for men and women. This is a testament to the Emirate’s leadership in the development and modernization of legislation in the Arab region.
The delegation learned about the services provided by specialized courts and their role in promoting access to justice and ensuring the quality and consistency of judicial decisions.
The delegation visited the non-Muslim service office and registration office, and learned about the multilingual court system, electronic case system, remote litigation mechanism, legal procedures and advanced legislative environment of the Abu Dhabi courts.
The French delegation commended the quality initiatives of the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Justice in establishing specialized courts, providing intelligent and innovative judicial and judicial services, holding vision trial sessions, and relying on well-trained and qualified cadres and state-of-the-art technology to enable all tasks to be performed in a timely manner.
