Bittersweet: Netflix Renews sweet tooth The third and final season.
The fantasy series, which follows half-humans Gus (Christian Convery) and Jepperd (Nonsoanozzi) streaming service announced Wednesday that they will be returning in 2024 for a final farewell as they venture out in a post-apocalyptic world. Its next installment is already filming in New Zealand.
Series creator, showrunner and executive producer Jim Mickle previews the pair’s upcoming journey, while Talk to Netflix’s Tudum“Season 3 is an arctic story with exciting new adventures, and we hope this epic story has a satisfying conclusion,” he said. “Gus will see a side of the world and humanity that he didn’t see in season one or season two.”
They are joined on their quest by Cara Gee and Ayazhan Dalabayeva, who play new characters Siana and Nuka, respectively. Zhao Liying and Amy Semetz Also promoted to series regular this season.

“In the beginning, I thought you were going to tell these milestone pieces of Gus’ story and the comic book blockbusters, but the beauty of the long story and Gus’ journey over 24 episodes is the characters themselves telling you what they want to be,” he continued . “The crew and cast bring so much depth and perspective to who the characters are, where they’re from and where they’re going.”
