On 4 May, the Lithuanian-UAE Business Forum was held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), during which the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LPPARA) and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a Lithuanian-UAE Joint Business Council.
Ambassador of Lithuania to the UAE Ramunas Davidonis The establishment of the bilateral business council is an important step that demonstrates the joint commitment of Lithuania and the UAE to further strengthen economic cooperation and pursue common trade goals, he said.
At the bilateral business forum, Ambassador David Donis introduced Lithuania’s economic and business environment, priority areas for attracting direct investment, and prospects for bilateral economic cooperation between Lithuania and the UAE.
During the event, Ambassador Davidonis and Vice President of LPPARA Zigmantas Dagviciusmet him Abdullah Sultan Owais, Vice-Chairman of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the meeting, further activities of the Lithuania-UAE Business Council, promotion of investment and trade relations between businesses of the two countries, and future visits were discussed.
Nearly 100 business and association representatives from Lithuania and the UAE participated in the business forum.
The Lithuania-UAE Business Forum is organized by LPPARA together with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
