Tamoka and Caña by Tamoka, Dubai’s leading beachfront dining destination in JBR Central, has announced the appointment of Mina Kokanovic as its new General Manager.
With extensive experience and a strong track record in the restaurant industry, Kokanovic brings a wealth of expertise to her new role.
Tamoka brings the vibrant culture and flavors of the Caribbean Antilles with al fresco dining, live music, daily rituals and a magnificent beach vibe. Tamoka’s sister, Caña, is a picturesque beach bar offering unique concoctions, DJ sets and laid-back Latin American tapas.
Since moving to Dubai in 2015, Kokanovic started her career at Zuma, where she held various positions and played a key role in supporting the restaurant’s private dining areas. She then took on the role of Assistant General Manager at Le Cirque, where she was responsible for the recruitment, training and positioning of the entire front-of-house team to launch the restaurant.
Kokanovic continues to build on her expertise as Cluster Food and Beverage Operations Manager for JA Resorts and most recently as General Manager of Shimmers at Jumeirah Mina A’Salam.
