University of Tennessee Plans to build a hotel, restaurants, retail and more on what it calls Niland Entertainment District.

The entertainment district has become a popular venue for professional sports teams such as atlanta braves, los angeles lakers, chicago cubs and green bay packers. But UT will be one of the first companies to build such a facility on a university campus.

The development will link Neyland Stadium and the Thompson-Boling Arena in an innovative way that UT hopes will enhance the fan experience on game day. But not only that.
