Chinese consumer goods company Honor on Thursday launched two flagship smartphones — the Magic 5 Pro and the foldable Magic Vs — equipped with artificial intelligence and some new breakthrough technologies.
The high-end devices are priced at Dh3,999 for the Magic5 Pro and Dh6,499 for the Magic Vs.
Ma Feijian, Honor’s country manager in the GCC region, said the new model will be available for pre-orders from May 26 to June 1 before going on sale on June 2. Those who pre-order the Magic Vs will get Dh2,500 worth of free gifts including the Honor Watch GS3, six-month screen protection (inside and outside screen), one-year extended warranty (24 months in total), and an aramid case.
Users who pre-order the Magic5 Pro will get free gifts worth almost Dh900. These include the Honor Choice Earbuds X3, a 1-year screen protection, a one-year extended warranty (24 months in total), and a phone case.
The company is also offering early birds a one-year warranty that applies across the GCC region.
The company invests about 10 percent of its revenue in research and development (R&D), and 60 percent of the company’s total workforce is engaged in R&D, reflecting the company’s aggressive stance toward developing new technologies such as AI in smartphones and other devices.
“The unique feature of Magic5 Pro is AI motion capture, which is not available in any other competitor’s device.
