The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued a decision to administratively close the restaurant Hollowmeat in Al Ain, which holds a trade license number 15. CN-2756683, Violation of Regulations No. 2008 on Food Products in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Risks to Public Health issued thereunder.
ADAFSA added that the food control report noted that the administrative closure decision followed multiple high-risk violations by the restaurant and failure to meet health and food safety requirements, noting that the restaurant was in the meat and vegetable sinks and cleaning utensils. Despite repeated inspections, the restaurant still did not respond to the inspector’s comments on food hygiene and safety requirements, and despite the inspectors imposing three fines on it, the restaurant still failed to correct its conditions and fulfill the comments against it.
ADAFSA said the administrative closure will remain in effect until restaurants meet all requirements for healthy and safe food.
ADAFSA appeals to the public to communicate and report any food violations by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number 800555 so that its inspectors can take the necessary steps towards the ultimate goal of providing safe food to all Abu Dhabi residents.
