ABU DHABI, 1st June, 2023 (WAM) — Ali Mohammed Alblooshi, Attorney General of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, received on Wednesday Stefan Blatler, Attorney General of Switzerland; Massimo Badji, Swiss Ambassador to the UAE; and an accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution Service and the Swiss Public Prosecution Service and ways to develop the services offered.
Counselor Alblooshi emphasized that the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution is eager to engage with various prosecution agencies at the international level, as directed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Courts Establish partnerships with the Head of the Abu Dhabi Department of Justice by strengthening cooperation with international partners and consolidating influence in the global judicial field.
Both parties emphasized the importance of direct communication between judicial authorities to streamline procedures and follow up on mutual legal assistance and extradition requests. They also shed light on the importance of concluding judicial agreements and exchanging relevant experiences.
The meeting reviewed the advanced procedures employed by the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution Service and their role in facilitating access to justice and upholding rights, particularly in implementing an integrated system to complete all procedural steps remotely.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Swiss delegation commended the advanced service level of the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecutions Office, expressing interest in exchanging the experience and knowledge of both parties for the mutual benefit.
