[ad_1]

Thales, a leading French multinational company in the aerospace and defense sector, has announced the launch of its “Go to UAE” initiative, which aims to strengthen the country’s national export capabilities and create high-skilled jobs.

With the support of the Ministry and Advanced Technology, as part of the Make it in the Emirates programme, the Thales initiative aims to promote Made in the Emirates hallmark products and expertise globally and develop a locally skilled talent pool.

Launched on day 2 of the Make it in the Emirates forum, the initiative is in partnership with the Tawazun Council, the UAE’s defense procurement body. It also helps Thales fulfill its obligations under the Tawazun Economic Plan.

The Thales program, called Go to UAE, aims to have an industrial footprint by starting to develop local suppliers for local and export needs through a series of international certifications for technologies, parts and services.

Going to the UAE proves that the UAE is a fertile ground for industry and an ideal place to do business. Industrial investors establish themselves.”

The UAE is recognized as a manufacturer of quality products that meet international standards and we look forward to forging further partnerships with companies across industries as we pursue our goals economic and sustainable industrial growth goals,” he said.

“As part of this initiative, Thales will develop a comprehensive training and development program aimed at supporting UAE suppliers to improve their performance and competitiveness,” he added.

UAE suppliers will benefit from the program by integrating opportunities within Thales’ global supply chain, and will also be able to leverage this relationship and their industry position when promoting their business activities to wider export markets.

Regarding the deal, Dr Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Tawazun Council, said: “We are delighted to be working with the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and Thales on the ‘Go to UAE’ programme, which plays a vital role in making it happen Tawazun’s economic plan.”
