ERC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Institute of Applied Technology

Abu Dhabi [UAE]6th June (ANI/WAM): The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT), affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET).

The agreement aims to improve cooperation between the two parties in the fields of humanitarian and national social services of mutual concern to achieve their strategic goals.

The agreement was signed by Ahmad Abdulmanan Al Awar, Managing Director of the IAT, and Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Deputy Secretary-General of the ERC’s Local Affairs Department.

The signing ceremony was held at IAT in Mohamed bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi, and was attended by Ali Hilal Al Naqbi, Dean of Abu Dhabi Institute of Technology, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Ali, Director of Partnerships and Student Services at IAT, and several officials.

Al Awar said the agreement included the establishment of the “Aoun College Club” at the Fatima Faculty of Health Sciences (FCHS) and Abu Dhabi Institute of Technology, as well as the “Red Crescent Club” at IAT High School.

He added that the agreement enables members of these institutions to participate in the Aoun Community Service Awards and to volunteer in projects sponsored by the ERC.

In addition, it also aims to provide financial assistance or scholarships to students of FCHS or Abu Dhabi Institute of Technology who are unable to pay tuition fees in accordance with the policies, standards and regulations of the ERC.

Al Mansouri explained that the focus of the agreement is for both parties to collaborate with IAT’s partners and institutions in organizing training sessions, advising on ERC-nominated cases, and implementing fundraising campaigns and support projects.

The agreement also involves the placement of modern donation collection boxes and QR code stickers for the ERC at the facilities of the IAT and its affiliates in accordance with the IAT’s policies and standards. (ANI/WAM)
