Cleethorpes will once again be celebrating Armed Forces Day this year, June 16-18, the largest FREE event on the East Coast!
Local community organizations are key to helping celebrate the weekend and giving thanks to past and present Armed Forces service.
The timing of the various stages has now been finalized, but please note that there may be some changes throughout the day.
This year there are two stages – the main stage at the Armed Forces Memorial and entertainment at the Boating Lake – to complement the other exhibits.
Friday 16 June
Main Stage: (From 1.30pm to Carnival Parade, then from 8pm to 10pm)
- 1.30pm Linkage College Choir
- 2.15pm and 3.10pm Cleethorpes College Choir
- 4 p.m.: Memory Lane Choir
- 4.45pm: MAK & Co.

- 8pm: Forever
- 9pm: Danger Brothers Grimsby
Saturday 17 June
Main Stage/Roundabout Area at Remembrance Gate: (at various times of the day from 11am)
After the parade:
- 1.40pm: Amy Hallett
- 2.25pm: All 4 choirs
- 3.10pm: RAFC Band
- 4.50pm: RAF Waddington Wind Band
- 5.20pm: Meghan Curry
- 6.30pm: Sunset parade at the roundabout
Evening entertainment:

- 9.15pm: International singer Becci Morrell accompanied by local band KICK
Boating Lake Stage at Signal Box Inn (entertainment 12pm to 9:45pm) – Shows start on the hour.

- 1 p.m.: Lonerz indie rock band

Here’s a quick guide to other things to do this weekend
Friday, June 16:
- Noon: Pier Gardens and Lower Kingsway trade areas open
- Kickoff 1.30pm: Community groups will take to the main stage at the Armed Forces Memorial Gate and the evening will conclude with a live band performance.
- 6pm to 8pm: Cleethorpes Community Carnival: will start from the Grant Street car park around 6pm, via Alexandra Road, High Cliff Road and finish near Cromwell Road.
- 12pm-5pm: Ground display and trade open at Boating Lake
Saturday 17 June:
- 10 a.m.: Trade zone opens
- Armed Forces Memorial Gate Entertainment Stage: Various performances throughout the day
- 12.30pm to 5pm: Various air shows will take place over Central Beach.
- 1pm: Main parade of vehicles, active and ex-servicemen (Grant Street to Cromwell Road)
- 10am-5pm: Ground display in boating lake
- Around 3pm: Mounted Display Unit of the 16th Cavalry – Boating Lake Paddock
- 6.30pm: Armed Forces Memorial Gate Sunset Parade
- About 1030: Laser light display
Sunday, June 18:
- 10am to 5pm: The trade zone is open
- 1pm to 4.30pm: Air show at Central Beach
- 10am-5pm: Ground display in boating lake
- 11am & 2pm: Mounted Display Troops of the 16th Cavalry – Boating Lake Paddock
