MBDA opens missile engineering center in Abu Dhabi –

Founded in the UAE, the Missile Engineering Center was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in the presence of Tareq Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Tawazun Council, M. Nicolas Niemtchinow, French Ambassador to the UAE, and the CEO. MBDA, M. Eric Béranger.

The purpose of the Missile Engineering Center is to strengthen the long-term partnership between the UAE and MBDA and lay the groundwork for the joint development of missile systems.
The ultimate goal of this collaboration is to deliver missile systems with an appropriate level of performance while leveraging and enhancing the sovereign capabilities of the UAE defense industry through significant local content.

The UAE’s Missile Engineering Center is the first MBDA missile engineering center outside of Europe; it operates with a joint team of engineers from Tawazun Technology Innovation and MBDA, working on the next generation of smart weapon families.
