Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will only be able to produce 12 podcast episodes in three years because they are so “manipulative” and “difficult to work with,” a royal commentator said. Kinsey Schofield made the remarks after learning that Meghan’s Spotify podcast will not be renewed for a second season. Kinsey has now told GB News presenter Patrick Christies that it “proved” that the two would be difficult to work with.
“I think it proved challenging for them. You saw the BBC come out and say they were never going to show that Netflix documentary because it was controlled editorially by Harry and Meghan,” Kinsey said.
“They’re in control. They’re hard to work with, that’s why they’ve only done 12 episodes in three years. I think she’s a diva. It’s not the first time we’ve seen Harry and Meghan say they left on their own terms or it was an agreement between the two parties,” Kinsey added.
She added that she believed “brands and individuals” would now want to “avoid” working with the Sussexes. “I think today is a really bad day for Meghan Markle. She hates losing, she’s failing globally. There’s a huge audience watching,” Kinsey said.
“It’s been a tough time for them. I think they’re really trying to figure out who they are and what the next step is – I think that’s a powerhouse. I think Meghan is going to have to turn to that to create digital content because what’s left?” she added.
“These two are very manipulative and insist they know the next move and the right move. But everything they do is wrong. I think they need people in their lives to start telling them ‘no, this isn’t right ‘ “good idea. “They desperately need it,” she concluded.
Meghan’s prototype podcast has been at the center of some controversy, including spreading misinformation about a Covid-19 vaccine. The show has also been accused of making anti-Semitic remarks and using racist language. It was previously reported that Spotify paid Prince Harry and Meghan $25 million in exchange for a lucrative audio deal. The show was axed after reports that Spotify could cut another 200 jobs after Meghan and Harry’s podcast failed.
According to The Wall Street Journal, insiders close to Spotify claim the royal couple fell short of the productivity benchmarks needed to get the full payout. However, Meghan is reportedly planning to do more podcasts.
