UAE: Hot and dusty weather in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah to reach 47°C

Dubai: Residents of the UAE will be greeted with dusty, hot and humid weather across the country today.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), today’s weather will be sunny to partly cloudy. The northern coast will be wet overnight and into Saturday morning.

Maximum temperatures in the interior of the country are expected to be between 43 and 47°C. Temperatures will reach 39 to 42°C in coastal areas and islands, and 30 to 37°C in mountains.

Barakah in the Al Dhafra district recorded a minimum temperature of 24.6°C at 5.30am yesterday.

Al Qattara in Al Ain recorded a maximum temperature of 47.4°C at 2.15pm.

Humidity will be as high as 70-85% along the coast, while 65-85% is expected inland.

Slight to moderate southwest to northwest winds are expected, with occasional dust blowing, 15 – 25 km/h and up to 35 km/h.

By afternoon, seas will be moderate and rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of ​​Oman at times.
