The inaugural IDEX Next Gen will see 34 start-ups compete in Abu Dhabi for the ‘Most Innovative Company Award in the Defense Sector’.

On Tuesday, 34 of the 83 startups participating in this edition of IDEX and NAVDEX 2023 were shortlisted.

“This is the first time that such an awards competition is being held during IDEX. We have 83 startups from 25 countries. We have shortlisted 34 of them and they will present their innovative ideas,” said ADNEC Group Subsidiary Saeed Al Mansoori, CEO of company Capital Events, told a news conference.

“The competition has four main stages. In the first stage, 34 of the 83 startups are selected to present their innovations in front of a jury. In the second stage, we select 10 startups. In the next stage, the judges The top three startups will be selected. They will compete for the best company award,” said Al Mansoori.

The award was established to encourage start-ups in the defense and military industry to innovate and provide them with opportunities to showcase their advanced solutions, systems and technologies, which play a vital role in the development of the defense industry worldwide. effect. grade.
