Edge Group acquires Gradeone

Abu Dhabi-based Edge Group has acquired a 70% stake in Abu Dhabi-based Gradeone, which specializes in the manufacture of non-lethal pyrotechnics, ammunition, defense-related components and packaging solutions, and defense trade.

Founded in 2018, Gradeone has established an international collaboration network in the field of defence, security and rescue.

The company will join Edge as part of its trade and mission support cluster.

Edge Group focuses on defense trade

Edge’s managing director and CEO Mansour AlMulla said the company is growing rapidly as it focuses on the development of the defense trade.

“Integrating Gradeone into the group is a favorable and logical decision for both companies, allowing us to further refine our solutions in the military and security services sector. It also strengthens the company’s growth success in the long run partnerships and strategies to expand our own supply chain and trade capabilities,” he said.

In addition to defense trade and services, Gradeone specializes in providing a variety of solutions to the military and defense sectors including Army, Special Forces, Navy, Air Force, Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue services. It also offers sports and hunting equipment, supplies and accessories.

Khalifa Al Ali, Managing Director of Gradeone, said he believed joining forces with the group would open up new possibilities for mutually beneficial collaborations and help the company increase its capabilities. “We are pleased to continue to contribute to regional security with our mutual local and international partners.”

IDEX and NAVDEX

In recent news, Adnec Group announced EDGE Group as a strategic partner of the 16th International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) and the 7th Naval Defense Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2023. Organized in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Defence, these events will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from 20-24 February 2023.
