British twins Fionn and Fern have taken globetrotting to a whole new level. Thanks to their parents’ wanderlust, they’ve racked up 31,000 airline miles, taken nine long-haul flights and made stops in five countries. What’s even more amazing is that they see the beauty of the world even before they are a year old! Interestingly, the twins were born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

However, their world travel records are trailed by big sister Esme, 8, who, hold your breath, has been to 53 countries on six continents, and brother Quinn’s traveling cat, who has 40 countries.

Their parents, Karen Edwards, a former NHS nurse, and father, Shaun Bayes, a construction worker, dropped out of the fierce competition because they wanted to travel and show their children the joy and beauty of the world first-hand, according to the British newspaper. daily mirror.

After the birth of her first child, Esme, they developed a passion for travelling. They took her on a backpacking trip to Southeast Asia for a year. They returned to London, but after the birth of their second child, Quinn, they did the same again.

After they returned to the UK, the coronavirus outbreak interrupted their travel plans.

But the desire to live out her globe-trotting dream was strong, and that’s where her work at the National Health Service during the pandemic helped.

They set off for Abu Dhabi in June 2021, where Karen found a director-level job at a private hospital.

Soon after, Fionn and Fern were born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi last January.

The family loves their affluent life in the UAE. They love their wonderful creature comforts.

Karen says everything in Abu Dhabi feels “super luxurious”. Eating out is usually cheaper than buying out, and since everything is imported, we eat out a lot. We often find ourselves having a family brunch at a five-star hotel on the weekend,” the report said.

The twins kayaked through the mangroves and explored tropical beaches and desert dunes. Lucky kids have paddled across the Indian Ocean, Arabian Gulf and English Channel.

Karen has again used her three months of paid maternity leave to travel, first to Oman and Switzerland, then to Sri Lanka after a month in the UK, where they have been living for the past month.

However, they had some horrible experiences during their stay. Karen had to flee dangerous wildlife twice – once from a bear in the Canadian Rockies and once from a monkey in Bali – for the lives of her and her baby.

Interestingly, Fionn and Fern have no real connection to the UK, Karen said.

We don’t know if the twins are now aware of the extent of their global exploration. By the time they’re two, they’ll probably be covering record-setting places.
